Big Man on the Richmond Curve
Since Hannah and Phoebe were here, my street credibility has gone up 500%. The neighbor girls stop
by five or six times a day to see if I want to come out to play. I think it's starting to go to my
head. I was outside most of the afternoon and in the early part of the evening, allowing the girls
to enjoy being in my presence. Of course, I played it cool, like I didn't care about their
attentions. Elinor's bike was broken, so I tried to fix it w/ Mrs. Glass' wrenches and screwdriver.
I played a little golf w/ the wiffle ball and batt while the older boys played ball. I pet Kitty,
and let Luna know that she didn't frighten me. I walked up our front steps all my myself.
I rode Olivia's tricycle in the Swanson's front yard. I was everywhere. I was cool. I was a rock
star. So when I came in for bedtime, I found Mommy's glamour sunglasses and slipped them on.
