It was a cold and cloudy day here, but my playgroup buddies all got together to enjoy each other's company, and to say farewell to our friend Eli and his family. They are moving to Charlotte, NC in a couple of weeks. I thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce you to my buddies, so I have included pictures of most of them (unfortunately, some of my friends evaded the photo opps.)
Eli and all the Olivers are packing up and moving south to Charlotte in June. Eli has always led the curve as far as adventure and physical development go. Here he's climbing the table at the picnic. Sure will miss him!
Gabe is the newest addition to our playgroup. He and his mom actually weren't in our original ECFE class in Minnepolis, from which this playgroup originally sprang. We actually discovered them in our Edina ECFE school group this year, and invited them to join. So happy we did!
I'll admit it... Harper is my girlfriend. I love her. In addition to playgroup, we have ECFE and music classes together, so I get to see her a lot. Her favorite food is frozen blueberries (a guy should know the favorite food of his girlfriend, shouldn't he?) She introduced me to the "eyes" in "Goodnight Gorilla," too, for which I will be eternally grateful.
Eliza and her little brother, Russell, were our hosts for the gathering. Thanks for letting us meet up at your place, my friend.
Didn't get a shot of Elizabeth Richter. She was sporting a short-sleeved sundress and no shoes, despite the cool temperatures in the 50s. Her parents may be from the south, but she appears to have developed northern blood. Also, I didn't get a good picture of Zander Lyon. The one Mommy took turned out blurry. However, if you look over my left shoulder in the picture at the top of this page, you'll see him. Zander recently took a tumble off his trike, so his nose is as banged up as mine was last week. Who else? Let's see ... I also missed getting a picture of Ben or Kate. Maybe next time.
