History Center with Auntie Melissa
The morning started by playing blocks over coffee (OK, Mommy and Melissa had the coffee, not me)
in my room. Have I mentioned that I love the new blocks I had for Christmas? Well, I do.
Then when Mommy told me that we were going to the Minnesota History Center,
I wasn't exactly jumping around
with enthusiasm. But I'm a big enough toddler to admit that I had a really great time.
Mommy wanted to go specifically because there was an exhibit of Pulitzer Prize winning photographs.
While she may have been excited about that, it wasn't at all interesting to me, so I checked out
the other parts of the museum with Daddy for a while, and then Mommy and Daddy traded off so he
could see the photographs. I played in the grain elevator, and learned about tornados. But my
favorite part by far was the exhibit about music in Minnesota. I got to listen to music on the
headphones. Then we discovered an old-fashioned player piano that was really fun. Mommy worked
the pedals while I pretended to play. Then Daddy "played" while Melissa and I danced. What a blast!
Wish Auntie Melissa could stay longer, but alas, she had to go back home. Hopefully she'll come
visit again sometime soon.
