Cleaning Up Leaves and Playing Outside
Daddy and I spent a good chunk of today playing outside in the leaves... I mean cleaning up the leaves in the yard. Mommy had her last long training run before the marathon, and then she went to do "girl stuff" (fabric shopping) with her friend Ann, so us guys were left to do the household chores, including raking leaves. I made sure we mixed in a little fun along with the work, but Daddy kept us focused on the task at hand. It was a cool day, but not too bad. In my fuzzy hat and sweatshirt, I was warm enough.

One thing I really like about being outside is that I get to see (and sometimes play with) Mercury, the really friendly cat that lives with the Glasses across the street. I have included a picture of me petting Merc (as his friends call him). The next one is of me falling down in the leaves on the little slope between our yard and our neighbor Sid's yard. When we were almost done raking, my friend Zoe came over to play with me. She lives next door on the other side. We played ball for a long time, until Daddy got too cold (and, let's face it, probably a little bored) and we had to come inside.
