Bruises and Yummy New Foods

I woke up this morning and knew it was going to be a rough walking day. I tried to let Mommy know this by insisting on holding on to her instead of walking on my own. For some reason, she chose not to trust my intuition and made me take the few steps between the ottoman and the console bookshelf on my own. Well, between my general clumsiness today and the tantrum I was throwing when I took the steps, I fell and whacked my face on the bookshelf. After some crying and some snuggling, I was back up and about, but I have some great bruises on my face to show for it.

On a different note, I'll just say a few words on my new diet. Mom is trying to be more planful about my menu, and trying to introduce new foods as well. We've been working on more structured meals. It's been trying at times, but we're working it out. I let her know when I want more; no one should worry about that! Anyway, today I had a Gardenburger for lunch. Talk about delicious! I can't believe she waited so long to give me one of those. And another new food experience today was a brown rice cake. I didn't mind the taste at all, but mostly I liked to hold the big piece and shake it around - gesture with it, if you will. If you haven't before emphasized a point by gesturing with a large piece of rice cake, you should try it sometime.
