Today I went on my first bike ride ever. It took a while to get used to the helmet. And, I don't like to complain, but Mom and Dad never did get that darn helmet adjusted quite right; so every few minutes they'd have to stop and resituate it on my head, as it had invariably vibrated its way over my face. I really didn't complain about it very loudly, but I would have been a lot happier had I been able to see the road ahead, instead of merely the inside of the helmet. Do you like my helmet by the way? It was a hand-me-down from my cousins Hannah and Phoebe. I don't know how old they were when they wore it, but I'm guessing older than me, and I can tell you right now that I will not be wearing this size for long. Mom even had to take out some of the pads that were in it in order for it to fit correctly. Where did we go for this first bike ride? We rode to Lake Harriet and had a picnic by the shore. Then when we were done eating, we rode up over the top of the Lake by the bandshell, and home. I look forward to my next bike ride - as long as Mom and Dad figure out how to keep my helmet on my head and not on my face.
