Well, Mom finally caved in. I didn't even do the hard sell; she did all the debating and haranguing herself. She has been tempted to get me an activity table for a while now. She even had it in the cart at Babies R Us a month or more ago. But for some reason, she never could get herself to spend the money on a big piece of plastic that I'd only enjoy (presumeably) for a few months. Well, after our trip to San Diego, and after seeing how much I enjoyed the piano that my cousins let be borrow while we were there, she knew I needed some piece of noise-making plastic. I have to admit that I'm thrilled that she finally came around. Of course, the arrival of this new monstrosity in the living room meant that the psycho saucer had to be retired. I didn't say anything to her about it, but I was completely over that toy, frankly, so it's departure has not been a problem as far as I am concerned.

Anyway, I am diggin' the activity table, and have a new favorite noise each day. At first I was fixated on the napkin/peek-a-boo thing. Today, I have to say that my favorite it either the salt and pepper shakers w/ the funky beat, or perhaps the pizza, which plays an Sicilian accordian tune. Yeah, I think it's the pizza. I groove and bounce to that music every time.
