We celebrated Independence Day by going to Old Poway Park. Gramma,
Cousin Margie, Uncle Drew, Aunt Randie, Cousins Hannah and Phoebe, Mom, and I all went to the
park to participate in an old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration. We got to ride on a restored
steam engine train and see some neat quilts. Hannah and Phoebe did some craft projects, but
I pretty much hung out in my stroller and in the arms of Mom and Gramma. It was fun, but really
hot, so we didn't stay long. Plus, Mom and I needed to get to the airport to return home to
Minnesota.
I don't know why Mom gets so stressed out about plane trips. Perhaps it's
because I only slept for the first 30 minutes of the flight and then stayed awake and active for
the rest of it... even though we didn't get to MN until almost midnight. I grabbed Mom's hair, lips,
and nose repeatedly with my super sharp nails; but she didn't even scream once. She was trying to
ignore me so I'd go to sleep, but that only made me want to get her attention even more. I was
excited because I was about to see Dad for the first time in almost two weeks!
