I met Auntie Paige. I like her. I really do. But don't
let her hold me just yet. Actually, don't let anyone but Mom hold me just yet. I'm
still getting used to having all this family around. So when Mom tries to pass me off on
anyone else so she can have even a few minutes to herself, I make everyone aware
of my displeasure. The first picture on the right is of when she thought Auntie
Paige and I should get acquainted. Thank you very much, but I think we should spend
some time talking and getting to know each other before I'll be happy being held.
Aside from some stress related to Mom leaving the room, I had a
great day. Gramma and Papa filled a pool in the backyard for cousin Christopher and me to
play in. What a blast! Mom was worried about the sun, so I was slathered with sunscreen.
But after that, I was free to frolic in the water. Loved it! I even love the look I get
with "product" in my hair. Mom should have put me in a swimming diaper, though, because
between Christopher and I, our diapers soaked up about half the water in the pool. I don't
know why she didn't use one, since she bought some for the trip. I guess she just wasn't
sure why swimming diapers are important. Well, now we know. In spite
of my case of NEDS (Needless Expanding Diaper Syndrome), I had a blast. Cousin
Hannah joined us in the pool, keeping Mom on her toes to make sure I didn't get kicked or
poked or splashed or squirted in the eye. She didn't need to worry so much, but this was
my first time in the pool, and you know how parents can be about worrying. Hopefully
she'll loosen up a little as the week goes on.
