We are dogsitting for our next door neighbors. The Swansons went to Colorado
for a vacation and we got to have Piper stay with us. Her first night here, Piper barked really loud
and I got kinda scared. Cried (OK, I'll admit it... I balled my eyes out) for a while, but I slept
on it, and decided by this morning that she wasn't going to scare me. She lives with three kids,
so she's used to the kind of torture a baby can dish out; she was very patient with me. And I was
really fascinated by her. I was gentle most of the time. And when I wasn't, she just got up and
walked away. I thought I was sneaking up on her, but Mom thinks she knew I was coming.
I let her kiss my face, even though it felt really weird.
I get the feeling that
Mom hopes my first word will be "Dog," but I can't say that for sure.
She sure did spend a lot of time repeating it while Piper was here.
I wonder when Mom and Dad will adopt a dog to live with us.
I got the sense that they wanted to, and I think it would be great!
