Mom and I had a picnic in the front yard today. We were supposed
to get together with Fiona and Tara, but Tara's nap schedule was a bit askew, and it didn't
work out to get together. So Mom and I had a front yard picnic anyway.
I had Veggie Booty, string cheese, and banana. Mom had cole slaw and shared my banana.
There was a grocery bag
that Mom put trash in, and I was fixated, so she let me play with it. Before anyone calls
Child Protective Services, I should point out that she tied the top very tightly and was
watching me the whole time. Some people say that plastic bags are not toys, but I think
they're great. I wouldn't call them "toys" per se; but I find it incredibly calming
to have a plastic bag in my hands. It's almost meditative.
Then again, perhaps it was just my mood to be contemplative today.
As you can see in the bottom picture, I was even contemplating my Veggie Booty. I'm a pensive
guy I guess. Would anyone who knows my parents be surprised by this?
Anyway, Tara and Fiona came over later and we played in the living room. I showed Tara my commando crawl, and talked non-stop. She found me endlessly fascinating, which was, of course, OK with me. I do like to be the center of attention, as you can see by the picture I'm including. Mom kept trying to get pictures of Tara, but I kept going for the camera. |
