This morning Mom woke up in what I can only describe as a
"determined" mood. The day was going to go her way, no matter what I had to say about it.
Luckily, I didn't mind most of what she had in mind, so it was a pretty good
day all the way around.
For some reason, she was determined that I would take a morning nap, even though that wasn't in my plan. So I cried for a long time, but she held her ground, and eventually I decided that she would win this battle. When I woke up, she gave me some yummy homemade yogurt, some fruit, and something new ... Vegie Booty! Talk about MUY! She justified her decision to feed me this snack because it has kale in it, and kale is good for me. I don't care. It was great! I have not been extremely cooperative in the cougar lately, but Mom was determined today to get a run in. She decided it would be good to take me out for a picnic until I got tired, then put me in the cougar and run from the picnic spot. She called my friend Eliza's mom Heidi to see if they wanted to join us for the picnic part. They did, so we all met at Minnehaha Park. This park is where Minnehaha Creek - which runs only a couple of blocks by our house - meets the Mississippi River. Had a great time with Eliza, and and was appreciative enough that I stayed content for her whole run. After the run, we hung out a the park for a while and I had a bottle by the edge of the creek. I didn't particularly want to take my afternoon nap when we got home, but again, Mom was determined. After a while, I once again bowed to her will and took a short one. After some eggs and toast for dinner, we went for a walk in the backpack. She took me for a walk along the creek here by the house. What a great way to wind down from an action packed day. How can tomorrow top it? |
