It was a beautiful day today. Mid-70's. Sunny. Puffy white
clouds. Gorgeous. Mom and I had a midday cougar ride. And it was such a nice day, we
just couldn't let that be my only outing. While Nana helped Dad install our new dishwasher,
Mom took me on a ride in the backpack. When we got home from our walk in the backpack
yesterday, Dad noticed that I'd lost my hat. Mom had no idea when it disappeared, because
she can't see me when I'm in the pack. I was diggin' the fact that I had total anonymity
while in the pack. Well, that freedom was short-lived. Tonight Mom brought along a little
mirror, and checked on me every few minutes to be sure that the hat remained. Not to be
out-foxed, I surprised her anyway. All she was checking the mirror for was the hat. She
didn't notice that I had fallen fast asleep until she got home, took off the pack, and started
to take me out. I was sacked out! When I awoke, I had the marks as evidence of my nap. I
tried to be discreet about it, just carry on, have dinner, act as if nothing had happened. But
could Mom and Dad let it go without a picture? What do you think?
