I was in a great mood today! Even though I was pretty tired,
after dinner I was sitting in my booster seat at the table and laughing hysterically
for about ten minutes. Can't explain it. Just felt like laughing. And once I got
started, of course, Mom, Dad, and Nana couldn't help but join in. What caused my
good mood? Perhaps it was because Nana has been visiting, which is always fun.
Perhaps it's because I got to go shopping for dishwashers
with Mom and Dad. I mean, who wouldn't love shopping for dishwashers?
Perhaps my good mood was caused by the fact that Mom took me for a ride in
the backpack carrier. Perhaps it was because we're in the middle of a
long holiday weekend, during which it was
supposed to rain, and it has been mostly sunny and warm. Perhaps it was because
I was able to stand up all by myself and play with the toys on my psycho saucer.
Perhaps it was because I got to try scrambled eggs for the first time. Talk about
MUY! My mood was probably a combination of all these things and more.
If I had to
put my money on one thing, though, it would be the fact that I have learned a "trick" that seems
to make Mom and Dad really crack up. I'm not sure why they think it's so funny. Seems
kind of straight-forward, but they love it! They say "Gimme Five!" and hold up a hand, and I slap it.
I wonder when they're going to challenge me a bit. They haven't even tried
following up with "Other side."
That shouldn't be too hard. By next week I hope we can work on "In the hole...
