So I've finally decided to try some foods with some real
texture. I'm talking about foods I have to mush up myself. Today I shared a
banana with Mom. Between you and me, I think she ate more than her share. After
the banana (Oatios, too!) feast, I spent some time on the quilt in the living room
playing with my Sesame Street guys. When they pop up, they each sing a different
song. I'm really getting good at getting Oscar to pop up, because he has the best
song! "I Love Trash! Anything dirty or dingy or dusty...!" I think Mom is most
fond of (she'd like a whole pond of) Ernie's song about his Rubber Ducky. That lever
is too hard for me to work with my little hands, though.
By the way, Mom claims to put my hat on me backwards because if I
wear it right way front, the brim whacks her in the face when she's holding me. While I
can vouch for the fact that I've hit her in the face many times with that brim,
I'm guessing that she also likes the way it looks when it's on backwards. I am also
guessing that by the time I'm a teenager, the backwards look will seem a lot less cute
to her. I'd better enjoy it while I can.
