Mom and I got to have a daytime "campout" in the basement while some men
tore the windows out of the walls upstairs and replaced them with new ones. I may only be just shy of
five months old, but it seems to me that tearing out windows in the middle of January in Minnesota might
not be the best idea. Mom and I hung out in the basement in front of the fireplace so I would be warm.
And I got to take naps in my pack and play down there, because it was relatively warm and relatively
dark and relatively quiet. Of course, I'm saying 'relatively' a lot because it wasn't actually warm
(due to the arctic breeze blowing in from the outside and down the stairs); and it wasn't actually dark
(due to the fact that it was daytime, and even in the basement, we get a little daylight); and it wasn't
actually quiet (due to the fact that the construction workers were pounding, sawing, vaccuuming, etc).
So I pretended to be put out about the whole thing (see pic below), but actually I didn't care - it was kind of fun.
I napped pretty well anyway. Mom even let me take one nap in my new fleece Disneyland jacket. I love my new
jacket, but I can't figure out why Mom and Dad bought me an 18 month sized jacket. I mean, I admit that I may be a
bit on the chubby side, but 18 months? Whatever.
