Today I turned "the big point two five!" Yep, I'm three months old today. I'm usually (grin) pretty low-key about my birthdays, so we didn't get too worked up about it. One thing we did do that was special is that Mom and I went to our first Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) class. It's a statewide program run through the schools in which parents and kids come to classes once a week to play and learn (aka "have fun and learn things"). We went to a class called "New Parent Connection," and all the kids in there were between four weeks and six months. It was pretty cool. There were all sorts of new toys to look at, and about 20 parents w/ their kids. Frankly, it was a bit overwhelming... all the commotion. At one point, the whole room erupted in cheers when a five month old named Anya rolled over for the first time. Frankly, the sudden loud noise kind of freaked me out a bit, and I burst into tears. The good news was that the attention was no longer on that other kid, but instead was squarely on me, where I like it. Anyway, after that incident, I never really recovered my composure, and spent most of the rest of the session rocking in Mom's arms. Oh well. We'll be going again when the new 'semester' starts up the Monday after Thanksgiving - a whole new group of parents and kids (although I suppose a few will carry over). And hopefully there won't be quite as many people in the class the next time, so I'll feel a bit more comfortable. Mom says it's probably good for me to go places where things are a bit more loud/hectic, since our house is pretty quiet and calm most of the time. I'm not sure I believe her on that, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief at least for a little while.

Below is a picture of me today, on my three month birthday in my awesome vibrating rocking chair that I'm borrowing from Olivia, who lives next door. Her mom says she doesn't need it for a while, since she's ten months old and has no patience for sitting still. So for now, it's mine. And it's cool - especially for blowing bubbles. But that's a topic for another day....
