Today was my two-month check up at the doctor, though my birthday was really last week. Anyway, I was measured, weighed, poked, prodded, and generally pronounced to be in excellent health. My weight was 11 pounds, 13 ounces, which puts me in the 50th percentile. I have put on two full pounds in the last three weeks. Mom and Dad had a bet going on my weight, which Dad won (Mom thought I'd be closer to 11 1/2 pounds, but Dad had guessed 11 3/4.) I am now 22 1/2" long. And my head is 42.3 cm in circumference, which has me in the 92nd percentile. I come from a long line of big-headed people. Both Mom and Dad have freakishly large noggins, so it's no wonder I've got such a sizeable melon. Anyway, the doctor was very impressed with my ability to hold this enormous head of mine up. She said I was very advanced in this department. Mom suspects that pediatricians probably always come up with something about which to say that every child is exceptional, to make the parents feel good about themselves. While this may be true, it still works like a charm. Mom and Dad are just about as proud as they can be.

I also got three shots today. The nurse was amazingly efficient. Before I knew what was happening, she had all three shots administered, and had even put Band-Aids on. It was only then that I figured out that I should be crying... which I did. Not too bad, though. Frankly, there have been at least three diaper changes in the last twenty-four hours that have caused more intense crying episodes. I just felt like I should cry in response to the shots because it was what was expected of me. All in all, the doctor visit was a good one. All three of us emerged relatively unscathed. As soon as we got home, Mom put me in the Cougar and we went for a run. Exhausting! Between the doctor and the run, I've been sleeping for most of the rest of the day. Not in my crib, mind you.... but that's a story for another day.

I don't have pictures to share of the doctor's office visit, so I thought I'd put a few other random pictures in here. The first is of me and Dad earlier today. I decided to give him a smile. The second picture is one of me in the Cougar, since I've had a few people ask about what sort of vehicle it is. The third shot is of the cool "foot finders" that my neighbor Vanessa gave to me. I haven't really decided to pay much attention to them yet, but my Mom gets a kick out of them.

That's it for now. More tomorrow probably.
